He may be able to solve the issue with a telephone call, email conversation or a desk review of your data but can make a site visit at your location if warranted. 

Mr. Cote has long experience with marine corrosion control, lightning protection systems, AC and DC power distribution, electric shock drowning prevention, complex electrical systems, fire prevention, lithium ion batteries and the repairs to a myriad of marine electrical equipment.

With over thirty years of marine electrical experience and having participated in hundreds of marine loss and insurance claim investigations James Cote can be a valuable asset for any marine adjuster, marine surveyor, loss examiner, fire origin and cause investigator or maritime attorney. 

Too often firms will utilize forensic experts who may be quite capable at fire origin investigations but unfortunately do not have the requisite education, training, experience and knowledge on marine electrical or corrosion control systems (See NFPA 921 and NFPA 1033). Mr. Cote is a recognized expert in marine electrics/corrosion control and as such limits his forensic work to marine and marina assignments only.  

James also assists/advises on marine losses related to corrosion, lightning, swamping, collisions, equipment failures, etc. Our clients include builders, marine surveyors, adjusters, underwriters, equipment manufacturers, crews and end users. 

Boatyards, builders and professional crews can typically handle the vast majority of their challenges without too much drama.
